PREPARED FOR THE DISASTER

Since the file and directory structures remain intact on the target system, they can be accessed in minutes if needed. If the file server in the branch office goes down, it is easy, using Microsoft's name space (DFS), to re-route users to the central file server using a WAN connection. The access will be slower but better than NO access.

SCHEDULED OR REAL-TIME

PeerSync has the ability to back up your data in real-time or on a scheduled basis. With our byte-level technology, only changed parts of a file will be transferred to the target system to save bandwidth. With our file recovery technology, PeerSync can resume file transfers where they left off in case of a connection loss.

CROSS-PLATFORM SUPPORT

PeerSync supports backup operations in mixed Windows, NetApp Data ONTAP 7-Mode and clustered Data ONTAP (cDOT) storage environments without data interoperability concerns. You can back up your data in real-time from any Windows Server to a 7-Mode or cDOT NetApp Filer, or from a NetApp Filer to another NetApp Filer including 7-Mode to cDOT and cDOT to 7-Mode source and target scenarios.

SUPPORT FOR REPARSE POINTS

PeerSync Backup Edition for Servers offers support to back up reparse points without bringing back the original files from the archive. PeerSync will simply sync the reparse points to the target system.
