The playlists may contain or even consist of dynamic content that is fetched "live" at runtime from a shared network folder ("hot folder"). This is perfect for content that is updated frequently like schedules, company or production data as well as up-to-date information of any kind. The built-in weather module can show the current weather conditions and a three-day forecast for any location in the world (live). Colors and design of the weather chart can be fully customized.

Live Calendar Data (from Outlook, Lotus Notes or Excel)
The Schedules and Timetables Plugin (sold separately) allows you to display calendar data, schedules and/or room occupancy plans. The (live) data can be provided as an Excel file, as an Exchange calendar (via EWS = Exchange Web Services), using a Lotus Domino Server (Lotus Notes) or any iCalendar (ICS) data source.

Scheduling of Playlists and Content 
You can configure complex schedules that define when you want to automatically show certain playlists. It is possible to define intervals for repetition in order to program the display exactly to your requirements (no manual work!).

Split Screen / Screen Layouts 
A screen page can also host multiple content elements and even playlists (split screen). A large variety of predefined screen layouts is available for this purpose but of course you can also create your own, individual layouts. Additionally, attractive layouts with rounded corner effects are also included!

Deployment and Content Update (online and offline)
Updating a player PC with new content by using the Display Assistant (content management software) is done with only one click. The supported deployment methods include the use of network shares (LAN/Wi-Fi) or Internet (using VPN or a cloud storage service). Offline deployment is also supported by using USB flash drives or SD memory cards.

Easy Integration of Cloud Storage Services
Use the powerful and highly reliable infrastructure of cloud storage services such as Dropbox or OneDrive to automatically replicate your content on the fly to remote player PCs over the Internet at no extra cost!

Ad Hoc Messaging System (e.g. for call up systems or altering)
Simply send text messages using a mobile phone or a desktop PC to your display. This is perfect for queue management, call up systems or alerting. The messaging feature can also be integrated with an external system using a Web service interface. Full screen messages are also available and can be used for emergencies and other critical events! In order to use this functionality you also need the Remote Control Plugin which is sold separately.

Interactive Features (touch, key pads, RFID)
Interactive features are also supported by FrontFace including touch screens, external keyboards and key pads as well as contactless RFID transponders. You can mark certain pages of a playlist as "hidden" and make them accessible through keyboard shortcuts or by scanning an RFID transponder. We can also help you find the right hardware for these applications.

Multi-Player / Multi-Screen Support (all screen resolutions and orientations) 
You can use the Display Assistant software to operate an entire display network with multiple screens and player PCs. It is possible to attach more than one screen to a player PC and to display the same or different playlists on these screens.

Mixed-Mode Operation: Desktop PC with Output on 2nd Screen/TV
It is also possible to install the FrontFace player application on a normal desktop PC and show the content on a 2nd screen attached to that PC. This way, there is no need for an extra player PC and your regular applications can still be used on that PC without limitations (perfect for reception desks or doctor's offices with a TV screen on the wall!).

Video Walls and LED Video Walls
With FrontFace you can also operate LED video walls that use screen capturing as well as segmented video walls that consist out of multiple screens that are stitched together. You can either address these screens separately with different content or the entire wall as one big screen!

Integration of Live TV Channels
The Live TV Plugin (sold separately) lets you integrate TV tuner cards (DVB-T, DVB-S or DVB-C) that can be used to show live TV channels in your playlists. Due to the extensive support for TV tuner cards you can even integrate pay TV channels (may require additional, special hardware).

Integration of DirectShow AV Sources (e.g. TV, DVD, Web Cam, etc.) 
It is also possible to integrate DirectShow audio/video sources (such a Web Cam or an AV grabber card) into your playlists in the same way as you can integrate video files!

It is also possible to use the FrontFace player software as a regular Windows screen saver. E.g. this can used on interactive kiosk terminals to easily display custom digital signage content during times when there is no interaction with the user ("standby" mode).

The player software can be installed on any Windows PC and can recover itself automatically in case of an error. If no live content from the Internet is used (Web pages, RSS or weather data), the player can even be used in complete offline mode without the need of a network connection!
