Royal Mail Barcode Fonts Overview
The Royal Mail 4-State customer barcode, also known as RM4SCC, was created for automated mail sorting processes and is normally used to print the postcode and Delivery Point Suffix (DPS) on letters in machine-readable format in England and the United Kingdom. Royal Mail fonts also implement KIX codes as used by the Dutch PTT for bulk mail addressing. 4-State RM4SCC barcodes are also used in several other places including Singapore, Australia and the Netherlands. The RM4SCC barcode symbology is based on 36 symbols representing alphanumeric characters (0-9, A-Z), as well as start and stop bar characters which are represented by "(" and ")".
Intelligent Mail is a similar barcode type that is used by the US Postal Service, and is not included as part of the Royal Mail Fonts Package, but in the USPS Postnet Package. IDAutomation does offer a variety of other products that support Intelligent Mail barcode generation.

Australian Post Address Font Information
The Australian Post Address barcode is another implementation of the 4-State RM4SCC barcode. The Australian Post Address barcode operation uses different encoding tables than the RM4SCC barcode to encode 64 different barcodes in the "C Encoding Table" and 10 in the "N Encoding Table."
The Australia Post Address barcode may be printed with this package by sending the appropriate bar state value for each bar of the character to the printer with the IDAutomation4State font selected. For example, to produce the character "H" under the "C Encoding Table," send the text of "012" to the printer. To produce the number "7" under the "N Encoding Table," send the number "21" to the printer.
