Schedule your ViceVersa profiles with VVEngine
VVEngine works seamlessly with ViceVersa PRO. It is specifically designed to optimize scheduling of your ViceVersa PRO profiles.
Manage and schedule multiple profiles. VVEngine makes it very easy to manage and schedule your ViceVersa profiles. Each profile can be scheduled separately and organized into categories.
Control VVEngine using a Web Browser. You can access VVEngine from any machine connected to the network with a Web Browser. You are not limited to the machine where VVEngine is running.
Extensive scheduling options. Set the profiles to run every X minutes, every X hours, every X days. You can exclude certain days/hours from the schedule, set your profiles to run at startup, as soon as file changes are detected, and much more ...
Detect external drives and network connections. Set profiles to run when external drives or network connections are detected.
Re-run profiles on error. If an error occurs during a profile run, you can set VVEngine to restart the profile after X minutes.
Run profiles sequentially. You can "link" ViceVersa profiles and schedule them to run sequentially.
Keep track of the profile history. VVEngine will keep track of all your profile runs and lets you see the number of files and data copied/deleted, any errors, run time elapsed, for up to the last 15 runs.
Setup VVEngine to run as a service. VVEngine can be setup to run as a Windows Service easily. The service will continue to run even when no one is logged on to the server.
New in Version 2:
VVEngine Gadget for Windows 7 and Vista. Keep an eye on VVEngine! The new VVEngine gadget puts VVEngine right on your desktop. Keep track of VVEngine while you work and run profiles right from your desktop.
Status Icon on Taskbar Improved. The new taskbar icon now changes depending on the status of the profiles in VVEngine.
New Scheduling Options. You can exclude hours not to run, do not start if computer is using battery power (and/or battery level is low), start only if the computer IP address matches a specified value, report error if a profile has not run for more than X minutes, start only if a file exists or a particular process is not running, etc
New Global Options. Windows Event logging level, seconds to wait before running profile on change detection, access to read-only pages without password etc
New Read-Only page and Run/Stop page. A new read-only page where profile schedules are visible, but can't be changed. A new run/stop page where profile schedules can be run and/or stopped, but can't be changed. Access to these pages can be granted even without a password..
Check Your Profiles Using RSS Feeds. VVEngine can now report the latest profile status via RSS feeds to any machine on the network.
Use VVConsole to control VVEngine. VVConsole is a command line program that can be used to send commands to VVEngine, e.g. "run a profile", or "disable / enable a profile" or "shutdown". Using VVConsole you can run ViceVersa profiles within VVEngine from third-party programs, e.g. Windows Task Scheduler.
New in Version 2.1:
Real-Time, Super-Fast, No Re-Scanning Execution. Monitor source and/or target folders for changes at file or at subfolder level, and then backup, synchronize, replicate files without folder rescanning. show Essential over slow connections and for real-time execution with a large amount of files. Plus VVEngine keeps track of all the changes happening so they can be reviewed.
