Pullprinting is a unique way of printing where print jobs are nottriggered directly, but are temporarily stored on a central printserver. Only when the user is at a printer of his or her choice andauthenticates at that device, does the output of the print job start.Personal Printing enables secure pull printing by only releasing theprint job once the user has authenticated via a smartphone app, cardor entering a PIN at the printer.

Boththe transmission of print data and the storage of the print jobs onthe central print server are fully encrypted.

Convenientand printer-independent self-registration

Employeescan register themselves at any printer for secure printing. To setthis up, they scan their smart card or a token at the PersonalPrinting release station connected to the printer. Anindividual access code is printed with which the employee logs on tothe Personal Printing portal for secure printing. Thanks to thesimple self enrollment, administrators no longer need to createsecure printing users.

Cardand PIN authentication

Usersauthenticate at the printer using their employee ID cards, specialRFID cards or PIN entry. They can authenticate themselves directly ata printer which is already supported by the Personal Printingsoftware, or use the Personal Printing release station. Thanksto its wide-ranging card reader support, this covers all employeeIDs.

Secureprinting via an app

Ifyou want to introduce secure printing for specific individuals, thenuser authentication via a smartphone app for Android and iOS devicesis recommended. This doesn’t require any additional hardware and isinstalled within minutes. The Personal Printing Secure Printing Appsimply reads a barcode or NFC tag attached to the printer, whichresults in the print job being initiated. In addition, the printingapp allows staff to easy delete or prioritize their remaining printjobs.

WithPersonal Printing, you regain control of your print costs, becauseonly what is actually needed is printed. Employees decide which printjobs they release at the printer and which they wish to deletevia the JobViewer – available as a web app or via the PersonalPrinting App. This results in the cost of paper and toner beingsignificantly reduced.
