Server Edition
The pdfFactory product provides a solution for creating PDF files that is simpler, more efficient and less expensive than other programs.pdfFactory Pro Standard Edition is used to create pdf files, pdfFactory Pro for PDFs that require security (legal documents, company information Etc.) and other advanced features of the user.
Note: SE replaces the Enterprise edition. Installing SE will uninstall and replace EE. To upgrade to SE, install SE and click the "Upgrade" button on the page. Upgrading from EE to SE is not free.
The server version has the following features:
Centralized installation. Install SE once on a Windows server, and all authorized users can access FinePrint through a shared printer.
Centralized upgrade. When a new version of SE is installed and installed on the server, the client user is automatically updated to the new version.
Network Client Support SE supports clients running on Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP. Installation is very simple, it uses the standard Windows shared printer protocol.
Share the configuration. The general configuration on the server can be used to transfer the workstation upgrade installation. For example, FinePrint's signaling header and information are saved to the server and copied to the workstation for an upgrade installation.
License Management: SE ensures that licenses are licensed and monitored for use on a single or a group of connected servers.
Configure the user interface. Unused product features can be removed from the user interface. You can also define default settings and remove specific user interface controls to ensure that settings are not changed.

SE pricing is the same as standalone products. Purchase the required number of licenses, one license per user, download SE to manage and install them, no additional fees. If you have 8 workstations, you have to buy 8 copies to use SE.
Server-side installation
System requirements: Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003 Server (workstation or server)
To install the FinePrint server version on the server:
1, download the self-extracting compressed files, you can download from the top of this page.
2, open the self-extracting compressed files.
3, according to a program will automatically FinePrint Printers Windows 95,98, NT, 2K, XP drivers installed on the server, and create a client can access the shared printer. The installation process at the same time the server itself FinePrint driver installation is complete.
Client installation
System requirements: Windows 9x / ME or NT / 2000 / XP
Client installation SE, only need to connect to a network shared printer, and installed on the server. Clients can connect to the standard shared printer through Network Neighborhood or the Add Printer Wizard in the Printers folder.
Automatic client upgrade
As we mentioned above, when you install a new version of the server on your server, the connected clients are automatically upgraded to the new version. Note that these updates only occur when the Clients dialog box reopens and the new user logs on.
Uninstall
SE can be easily uninstalled from any client workstation or server in any of the following ways:
Run the Uninstall shortcut from the program group
